Entrepreneurship and Livelihood
OGE offers its asset mapping methodology for community/business partnerships and livelihood opportunity identification. The methodology is designed to link employers with their sounding communities in a business-like fashion that directs outsourcing and employment opportunities to individuals and organizations –based on their existing skills and capacities- in the underserved communities in their immediate vicinity. Since its founding in 2005, OGE has equipped community-based organizations across the globe with its asset mapping & asset building methodologies including stakeholders engagement, intensive interviewing as well as the facilitation of focus groups, and community surveys.
In addition, OGE also offers Comprehensive Community Planning workshops to introduce participants to Community-Based Planning, its rationale, and methodologies. Applied to a community, this methodology can enable citizen involvement in democracy, as well as an outline of the basic issues that community planning seeks to address.
